Résumé

The transition from a monological culture to the multiculturalism of contemporary societies has determined a new scientific speculation in the pedagogic field. Even if education is never one sided, intercultural pedagogy is a discipline characterized by peculiar features aiming at education through care and interaction with others. Knowing ourselves better through alterity leads to the adoption of a “complex way of thinking”, because it is rational and empathetic at the same time; creative, because it is capable to invent (“to find”) a new cultural place; ethical, because it founds its own wellbeing on others wellbeing. In order to leave the old linear and unidirectional conception, to overcome the simple interaction of “between” and, therefore, to carry out the circular one and that of the “beyond”, intercultural pedagogy is founded on ethical aspects, poiesis, metamorphosis e therapeia, of the game, whose dynamic and ductile sense of equilibrium (sensed by Kant and then developed by Schiller, Nietzsche and Heidegger) has found its greatest expression in the intercultural pedagogical research.
