Questo contributo contiene alcune riflessioni a partire dalle interviste raccolte nel libro Il Sessantotto della scuola elementare (a cura di Marcella Bacigalupi, Marina Martignone, Piero Fossati, Milano, Unicopli, 2018). Tra gli anni Sessanta e Settanta una parte degli insegnanti, tra i quali molti del Mce, si sentirono coinvolti in un progetto di costruzione di una scuola nuova capace di favorire la partecipazione e la creatività dei bambini cancellando l’autoritarismo e le ingiustizie della selezione. Nel ricordo di chi oggi ripensa a quel periodo, quegli anni rimangono come un momento di gioia e di felice socializzazione non solo per gli scolari ma anche per gli insegnanti. Quanto queste memorie e i sogni che le sorreggevano sono fedeli alla realtà di quei tempi e quanto devono alla rielaborazione degli anni?
This contribution contains some reflections inspired by the interviews collected in the book Il Sessantotto della scuola elementare (a cura di Marcella Bacigalupi, Marina Martignone, Piero Fossati, Milan, Unicopli, 2018). Between the sixties and seventies some of the teachers, including many from the Mce, felt involved in a project to build a new school capable ofencouraging children’s participation and creativity by eliminating authoritarianism and the injustices of selection. In the memory of those who think back to that period today, those years remain as a moment of joy and happy socialization not only for schoolchildren but also for teachers. How faithful are these memories and the dreams that supported them to the reality of those years and how much do they owe to the reworking of time?
