Author Guidelines

Submissions should be sent to Professor Lucietta Di Paola Lo Castro, director or co-director Professor Rosa maria Palermo Di Stefano, Editorial Board of ‘Il Maurolico ’, Gabinetto di Lettura, via E.Scachi, 12 - 98123 Messina.

General Criteria

The deadline for submissions is 30 March of each year: Contributions, accompanied by a brief abstract in Italian and English, should be sent by email in Word PDF format (no more than 8-10 folders: 40,000 thousand characters, inckusu sopazio and notes) in the following format: Times New Roman, text body 12, notes body 10: ancient and modern authors in small caps with citations according to the ‘Harvard criteria’.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • I contributi, accompagnati da un breve abstract (italiano e inglese), vanno spediti per e-mail in formato Word e PDF (non più di 8-10 cartelle: 40.000 battute, incluse spazi e note) nella forma seguente: Times New Roman, testo corpo 12, note corpo 10: autori antichi e moderni in maiuscoletto con citazioni secondo i "criteri Harvard".
    I manoscritti non vengono restituiti.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
