Sacred and imaginary.The paper aims to investigate the relationship between the imaginary and the sacred, from the point of view of the dialectic between the imaginary and society. The sacred is considered a place of the imagination of particular relevance for the reflections that its concrete implementation, at the level of rituals, places, objects and narratives, has on the meaning and functioning of society. Some models of the relationship between the sacred and the social based on the dialectic between immanent and transcendent will also be discussed and presented.
