Author Biography

  • Maria Catena Quattropani, <span>Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Messina</span>

    Her studies have focused mainly on clinical neuropsychology, with particular interest in cognitive, behavioural and emotional disorders in dementia syndromes and dysexecutive syndromes, with clinical applications within the scope of assessment and rehabilitation. She currently conducts research on metacognitive functioning in patients with different syndromes, developing interest in relational and clinical neuroscience and psychotherapeutic treatments that take into account the relationship between mind, brain and intersubjectivity. She collaborates with the neurosurgical clinic of the University of Messina for the development of sensitive assessment systems for differential neuropsychological diagnosis; for pre, intra and post surgical neuropsychological evaluation and for the design of individualized holistic clinical interventions.
