The closure of Fiat’s plant of Termini Imerese is a tragic event that involved thousands of people. However, this event created a situation in which different social agents (citizens and institutions) started an imaginary process aimed to re-modulate and give a new meaning to the space of the closed factory. Through a strong ethnographic analysis of the process of installation and closure of the plant, this article attempts to reconstruct the base of this mythopoeia.Dowloads
