Il magistero ecclesiastico della musica sacra. Documenti e definizioni

L’articolo intende presentare sinteticamente i maggiori documenti del Magistero sulla musica sacra, a partire dall’inizio del Novecento fino a giungere alla riflessione postconciliare. Vengono considerati i punti fondamentali in essi enunciati: la partecipazione attiva, la definizione di musica sacra, la disciplina della musica strumentale. Seguono le osservazioni sui punti positivi e problematici che si incontrano nella prassi pastorale e come le difficoltà possono essere superate grazie all’interazione tra musica, liturgia e mistagogia.
The article means to introduce synthetically the main documents of the Magister on sacred music, starting from the beginning of ’900 to an after-council reflection. The established fundamental points are focused: active involvement, definition of sacred music, the discipline of instrumental music. Then the observations on positive and difficult points in the pastoral procedure and how difficulties can be overcome, thanks to the interaction among music, liturgy and mystagogy.
