SCUOLA E NUOVI MEDIA. INSEGNARE L'ALFABETO DIGITALE

La rapida e capillare diffusione dei dispositivi digitali nel tessuto socio-culturale attuale e il successo riscosso dai social network, soprattutto nelle giovani generazioni, ci spingono a riflettere su come tali nuovi media possano essere inclusi nelle abituali attività didattiche, su quali competenze siano necessarie per alfabetizzare i nostri ragazzi e i futuri insegnanti alla cultura digitale. In tal senso, infatti, il processo educativo si sviluppa sempre più in ambienti permeati dalle tecnologie informatiche che rimodellano il rapporto tra uomo e conoscenza, facendo nascere nuove forme di appropriazione e produzione del sapere sempre più vincolate ai “collettivi mediali” e a dinamiche informali di partecipazione e apprendimento. Il presente articolo analizza proprio tali questioni, osservando, da una prospettiva pedagogico-didattica, il rapporto tra tecnologie e apprendimento. The rapid and wide diffusion of Digital Technology obliges us to reflect on how these digital systems might be included into normal teaching activities, and on the type of skills that are necessary in order to help our students and future teachers to become competent users of the digital culture. In this sense, in fact, education is evolving more and more within environments that make use of computer technologies, thus transforming the relationship between human beings and knowledge, and contributing to the creation of new ways for us to access and produce knowledge, ways that are increasingly conditioned by “media collectives” and informal learning and participation. This article aims to analyze these questions from a teaching-learning perspective, and examine the relationship between technology and learning.
